At the last minute we decided to head out of town this weekend for an end of summer getaway. Lollapalooza was in Chicago and put hotels in downtown at $400 per night so our destination quickly changed to St. Louis. And, we were not disappointed. Saturday we started off at the St. Louis Zoo. The Zoo opens at 8 a.m. and this is one time Evy's "rise with the sun" schedule worked out great. No lines, no traffic and free carousel rides for the first hour. Admission is free and the zoo is awesome. If you haven't been there, well there are a few weeks left in the summer...

The best time to go to the zoo is early!! The animals are out and it's cooler, especially this time of the year! Love the zoo and love the pictures!! >^..^< P.S. We usually skip the reptile house!!
