New Year's Eve

We went out for an early dinner and then came home to watch the ball drop-Eastern time of course. Will and Charlie were both asleep before the ball dropped. Once the countdown was over we quickly went to bed. Everyone was asleep by 11:30.

Christmas Day 2018

Getting ready to go to bed so that Santa can come!

The girls woke us up at 7 a.m. and then woke Will up. Time to open presents!!

Evy got new bedding. She mostly asked for items for her room.

Santa brought Will a remote control car and a Hawkeye football uniform. He got his cool monster slippers and Dude Perfect T-shirt from Mom and Dad. 

The kids had a very specific request for their Christmas morning breakfast. They asked for reindeer but said these turned out to look more like dogs.

The weather was nice and the kids were nuts so we headed outside for a walk. We ended up deep in the woods because Papa is crazy. 

Charlie got a makeup kit for Christmas and told Grandma she would make all of her wrinkles disappear. 

Christmas Traditions

Lots of things to do and traditions to complete this time of year. 

Not a tradition, but a fun new thing to do. Breakfast with Santa at Hy-Vee! 

Christmas baking. First up, almond bark covered pretzels. 

Crushing peppermints for cookies. 

LOTS of sprinkles....

....means lots of vacuuming!

Emily's Birthday

Evy told Scott that she really wanted to go to Target and get something for my birthday. I was immediately nervous. To my surprise I received these one piece Uni-Kitty pajamas from my wonderful children! These pajamas have all of the bells and whistles; a zipper, a tail, a horn and pockets. I am so lucky!

For dinner we went to Mosley's with Grandma and Papa. The kids spent loads of money on the arcade games.
