Lady Bears

This year Evy decided she didn't want to do dance anymore so basketball was her primary activity. From September to March her team practiced on Tuesday nights and played games on Thursday nights. In the Fall they played in the 3rd grade bracket and won all of their games easily so they played in the 4th grade bracket in the winter. The 4th grade bracket was tough and they lost by pretty big margins. These girls are tough however, and never gave up. They played in two tournaments, taking 1st place in the 3rd grade tournament and coming in last in the 4th and 5th grade tournament. 

Evy says she really likes basketball and I think she loves the social aspect as this is a great group of girls!

Evy's First Bar Band

Evy's guitar instructor's band performed at a local bar. I thought it would be fun for Evy to see the performance so we took her to her first bar show! Luckily, the bar was dead and the band was good so it worked out! After an hour Evy was bored. The Dads took the kids home while the Moms stayed until the band wrapped up. 

Spring Break

We didn't have big plans for spring break and it turns out that was a good thing. Charlie came down with a 102 fever on the first day of break!

Friday after school I picked the kids up and we went to my brother's to help celebrate my niece's birthday. Wouldn't you know that Charlie spiked a 102 fever. She spent most of the weekend just like this.

Will and Camryn played very nicely!

This is as wild as things got.

When we returned home on Monday we took Charlie to the doctor to discover that she had strep throat. 

The weather was decent and we explored the creek. Will fell completely in and got soaked!
