Parent Fun

As I looked back at our February pictures I noticed there were a lot of photos of Scott and I having fun.

We hired a babysitter on a Saturday morning so that we could shop for a new washing machine. We quickly bought a new one and then headed to a patio to enjoy some of our great weather.

We celebrated a 40th birthday with my February Girls Night Out crew!

Scott's college friend was in town doing stand up comedy.

And at the end of the month we went to Chicago so I could attend a conference. But we also had a lot of fun. We got to attend our first NBA game!

Carpool

The kids get out of school during Will's naptime so we've partnered up with a couple of neighbor families to get the kids home each afternoon. This crew walks home together or takes turns getting picked up by a parent. Thursdays are typically my days. It makes for a car full of crazy.

Big Boy Bike

Will has been asking for a big boy bike. I told him that we have a big boy bike for him! He woke up one morning immediately asking for the big boy bike. So, while he was eating breakfast I dug it out of the garage. He ran out into the garage to look at it and immediately came back into the house crying. "I wanted a blue big boy bike!!!!" I guess the hand me down jewels and pearls ride was not what he had in mind. He has since accepted his destiny and is proudly pedaling around like a pro!

Car Wash Terror

Poor Will is terrified of car washes. I rarely get my car washed so this isn't usually an issue. Typically, I have the girls with me and Evy unbuckles herself and snuggles Will to keep him feeling safe. Today, the girls were in school and Will was literally terrified as we pulled into the stall. So, I took him out of his seat and let him sit with me in the front seat. He covered his eyes the entire time.

My Valentines

We were invited to Charlie's classroom for a Valentine's Day party. So fun to see her friends and classroom!

Charlie and her teacher Ms. Schieltz

Will and I met Scott for lunch at a sushi restaurant. I assumed they would have a kids menu, but they didn't. Parenting fail! Luckily, I had a vast assortment of random food in my purse.

Evy made the cutest Valentine's coupons for Scott and me. She came home from school and told me I needed to check the mailbox because she just saw someone put something in the mail box. When I went to the mailbox I found these letters from "somebody." There was a letter for Scott and a letter for me. My coupon is good for a two hour nap! Scott's is good for a free car wash in the driveway!

Mild February

We have had a very mild February. On the first nice day it was about 45 degrees and Evy insisted that it was so hot and she needed to put shorts on!

The girls set up a carnival in our yard. They drug lots of stuff out onto the yard and had prizes for their friends.

Out for a walk, enjoying the nice weather with the unabomber.

When it is nice outside Will just wants to shoot hoops all day long.

And he really likes wearing pajamas all day long. Most days I don't fight him.
