Country Music Association Festival 2015

Three years ago we went to the CMA Fest in Nashville. We had such a blast we made a return trip this year. After a 9 hour drive we arrived to the live CMT award show where Darius Rucker, Florida Georgia Line, and Kenny Chesney were performing outside sets. I haven't seen Kenny perform in more than 6 years so I was on a mission to get close to the stage.

First drink in Nashville.

Florida Georgia Line performance

Kenny! I ended up with a side view, but was pretty close to the stage so I was happy.

Each night we made the walk across the pedestrian bridge to LP Field.

First night of concerts at LP Field. Alan Jackson, Sam Hunt, Rascal Flats, Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line, and Jason Aldean.

I'm a sucker for tourist traps so I persuaded the group to make the 30 minute drive to The Loveless Café. We had some great biscuits and of course chicken and waffles.

After breakfast we went back downtown Nashville and checked out all of the promotional things going on. Scott and I sampled Spam French fries. Not good.

We didn't even realize that we had dressed in "Jack and Coke" shirts. Someone on the street pointed it out. Pretty fitting for Nashville.

We had a little too much fun during the day at The Stage.

Night 2 at LP Field was The Oakridge Boys, The Band Perry, Maddie & Tae, Lee Brice, Randy Houser, Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band, and Luke Bryan!

I was a little upset with Luke Bryan. His set was only 4 songs long.

Night 3: Kellie Pickler, Wynonna, Chris Young, Thomas Rhett, Brett Eldridge, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood

Getting ready for night 4 at LP Field!

Neal McCoy, Cole Swindell, Darius Rucker, Eric Church, Keith Urban, and Brad Paisley rocked night 4.

Such a great trip! See you again soon Nashville!

The Baby Turns 1

Today, we celebrated Will's first birthday. I honestly do not know where the year has gone. It seems that we are still trying to get used to having a 3rd child...at the one year mark! Will is still taking 2 naps each day, he is not walking although he his standing by himself for short amounts of time. He has no teeth! In the last 2 days he has shown little interest in the bottle. I think he likes real food.

The girls thought a dump truck theme would be fun.

Playing with his cousins.

Evy colored the wrapping paper on this gift. It reads "I love you Will." She is so sweet to him.

Will did not show much interest in his presents, but he was good at pulling the tissue paper out of the bags.

He got a lawn mower!

He did not hesitate to big up the entire piece of cake and shove it in his face. He consumed the entire thing at a record pace.

Maybe I should even eat the plate?!?!?

Kindergarten Wrap Up

On Monday I chaperoned Evy and her class on their field trip. The kids had a great time and I am glad I was able to go along.

Evy and her teacher, Mrs. Person. Evy had a really great year at school!

Dance Recital 2015

2015 marked Evy's 4th year of dance and Charlie's 1st. It was so fun to have them participating together. Charlie performed one ballet routine to "My Girl" and Evy performed a ballet to "Give My Heart a Break" and a tap to "Love Potion Number 9". They both did a fabulous job. We are so proud of them!
