Turning Six

Turning six is a big deal. Such a big deal that it requires a month long celebration!

Evy kicked off her birthday celebration early in the month with Scott's side of the family.

She shares the "Fall Birthday Celebration" with two cousins and this picture is becoming an annual tradition.

Evy has recently developed a love for mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Evy chose to have a Halloween themed party at our house. We invited 15 friends and did Halloween crafts, games and a piƱata.

She asked everyone to come in their costume.

I did not make the cake this year and afterwards Evy told me the ones I make taste much better than the store bought one. Score for Mom!

It wouldn't be a birthday celebration unless the little sister was totally mad that she wasn't getting any presents.

And for the grand finale Evy opened presents from Mom and Dad on her birthday morning.

And enjoyed her traditional birthday pancake breakfast. That's a wrap on turning six.

Sweet Sister

Evy is an awesome big sister. After getting home from school the other day she asked me to sit Will next to her while she ate her snack. A minute later I looked over and she was holding his hand. What a lucky little guy to have such a loving big sister.

4 Months and Rolling!

Will started rolling over today. He first showed his new skill off at daycare and I think they felt bad telling me about it. But as soon as we got home he was happy to show off in front of all of us. Once he gets to his tummy he is mad! We are still trying to figure out his acid reflux issue. We started a new medicine last week and increased the dosage this week hoping to find him some relief. He is still spitting up like crazy and soaks himself resulting in wardrobe changes at least 5 times per day. Between his outfits, bibs, and burp rags he keeps our laundry room rocking! He has his first "daycare cold" and a horrible cough. Poor little guy! Although he was sleeping through the night last month he is no longer making it all night long. He normally wakes up around 4 a.m. to eat. I'm really hoping we can get over that soon. I'm dragging! He still loves to talk to us and smile. He loves to watch his big sisters and generally goes with the flow as long as he has his pacifier.

Silly Sleeper

It is always fun to peek at Charlie and see how she has fallen asleep for the night. This girl has some pretty funny positions. Last night she was cuddling her princess wand. Doesn't seem like the best choice for something to cuddle, but it seemed to get the job done!
