Grammy Sherry emailed the whole family this morning to let us know about the recent recommendation to wear bike helmets while taking shelter during tornadoes (they've found that most storm related deaths are due to head injury). I wanted Grammy to know we were taking this very seriously so I sent her the picture, above, to show her that Charlotte, Evy, and I had been practicing our drills this morning. Evy knows to grab her bike helmet. Charlie doesn't have a bike helmet so she gets Rubbermaid.

- I'm a career-oriented convert! After earning a masters degree and setting my sights on professional growth I gave it all up (mostly) for motherhood. For the two years I worked full time as a mother I constantly felt guilty that I was leaving my baby in daycare for 50 hours a week. Opportunity knocked and I requested a demotion that would allow me to stay home part-time. What a nice change of pace! I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, employee, and co-worker who now has a nice work-life balance. But, I still haven't figured out how to fit in regular exercise again. That might be an ongoing battle...

Good advice on the bike helmets during a storm..... who would have EVER thought about using Tupperware??! Cute picture of the girls and those facial expressions are priceless!! >^..^<
Totally serious. You need to blow that picture up (really big) and hang it in your house. It's fantastic.
