Before heading to the library Saturday morning I promised Evy that we could stop and get a doughnut. The second I saw the dougnut with excessive pink sprinkles I knew that would be the one she would chose. Sure enough. When I lifted her up and told her she could pick she pointed her finger directly at the pink pastry. She bounced up and down and giggled as I paid. I've never had more fun eating doughnuts. Seeing the joy that such a simple experience creates for a child is priceless. This makes the sleep deprevation of parenthood totally worth it! Maybe it also explains the weight gain...

Enjoying the simple pleasures with children is the absolute best. p.s. I still get pretty darn excited about doughnuts.
