Are you an Addict?

A article from Parenting.com warns that mothers are susceptible to becoming addicted to the internet. I love the irony in the fact that it's an online article identifying this problem.

"Coleen Moore, coordinator of resource development at the Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery in Peoria, says that she's seeing more and more women coming in for Internet addiction. They're young, they're often new mothers, and they're addicted to blogs and message boards she says." Here's the entire article.

If you read this blog regularly I think you might be in the same boat as me...on the verge of an addiction. Since having Evy my use of the internet has definitely increased. Man, now in addition to managing drug, food and alcohol dependency I have to watch my internet use. Bummer.

I may qualify as an addict, but I think really the internet has become my creative playground. How is that for justifying my additition (aka blogging)?

If you're reading to learn more about being a mom and tips/pointers, etc. I don't think it qualifies as an addiction. If I want to learn more about a specific topic, my first stop is the internet. So perhaps I'm an addict as well? So what would they say if I ran to the library everytime I wanted more info on a topic?
