A local winery was buying dandelions by the gallon so we thought it would be a great activity for the kids. Evy and Charlie picked three gallons of dandelions in our neighborhood. They earned $5 per gallon for their work and promptly walked across the road to the toy store and spent it.

My uncle used to make dandelion wine when I was young and he paid us 25 cents for a bushel. Needless to say dandelions were plentiful back then and man were we excited to make that kind of money!! I bet we were able to get just as much for our 25 cents as the girls did for their 5 dollars :)
