Honest Words

I have naturally curly (frizzy, actually) hair so on most days I spend 20 minutes blow drying my hair straight and then using a flat iron to smooth it out. Yesterday I didn't feel like messing with it so I put some gel in my hair and went to work. When I picked Evy up from school she was looking at me with this weird look and then said, "Mom, I not like your scraggly hair." Thanks, honey.

I think our kids just get used to seeing us one particular way. I just got glasses for the first time and anytime I have them on Molly says "Me no like your glasses mom. Take them off!"

Too funny! I have my hair in my signature ponytail probably 350 days a year. The random 3-5 times it is blown out from the salon (which I ADORE!) my boys both say...."Mommy, where's your ponytail? I want it!"

She's the only person besides you that doesn't like it then. The rest of us think you are cute either way.
