Scott and Evy had a slumber party in the basement on Friday night. Evy was very excited to pull out the hide-a-bed couch and watch a movie. She was bouncing off the walls as we made the bed and kept telling us "this is so fun, this is going to be so fun!" Notice she has Aerial tucked into the doll bed beside her. She used the flashlight to check on Aerial every ten minutes to make sure her covers were still on.

The Nope Game
I'm not sure how it started but it's now become part of our regular routine. When I pick the girls up at daycare we play the "Nope Game" with Charlie on the ride home. It goes like this:
Me: Charlie, did you have fun at school today?
Charlie: Nope!
Me: Charlie, did you eat lunch today?
Charlie: Nope!
Me: Charlie, did you play with your friends today?
Charlie: Nope!
Evy: Charlie, do you see that dog?
Charlie: Nope!
Evy: Charlie, do you see that American Flag?
Charlie: Nope!
Evy: Charlie, are you a baby?
Charlie: Nope!
We laugh hysterically each time Charlie says nope. It's the quick way she says it that's hilarious. Evy's questions continue to get more random. And that's about all there is to the "Nope game".

New Year's Celebration
First we met our friends Kevin and Jenny, who currently live in Dallas, for dinner. Kevin is one of our friends from college who we haven't seen in at least two years. It cracked me up seeing Scott and Kevin at the table with all three kids. Especially since I remember what these guys acted like in college!
Then we celebrated with some other friends. Look at this baby who is ready to party!
Pool party!
Hey Guys, I want to swim!
Scott, always at the kids table.
Happy New Year!
Christmas at Grandma's and Papa's
We wrapped up the final leg of our Christmas Tour at Grandma Joan's and Papa Jake's on Saturday. Grandma had bronchitis so things were a little more low key than originally planned.
We love opening stockings!
Evy found a lion necklace in her stocking!
Charlie was thrilled to find some snacks in her stocking.
Evy has watched the movie Brave at least 5 times in the last 3 days.
Another princess castle to add to our collection!
Sledding
Papa made this awesome picnic table for the girls.

Christmas at Home!
We spent Christmas at home for the first time ever. It was such fun starting our own traditions and spending time as a family. Here, Evy puts the finishing touches on our Christmas Eve prep. She hand selected the cookies for Santa and the carrots for the reindeer.

Santa brought Charlie a Sesame Street ball pit!
This girl loved opening presents and was afraid Santa forgot about her "Jungle Animal Park"
Charlie is screaming "Nummies" at me. In English that means, please give me some M&M's.
We bought Daddy a remote control helicopter just like all of the rest of the seven year olds in town. He deserves a toy since the house is filled with dolls and Barbies. I think he was more excited about his toy than the girls were about theirs.
Nothing better than an Amana ham served by candle light and eaten while wearing jammies!

Christmas at Grammy's and Papa's
Evy has so much fun playing with her cousin Kate!
A family picture! It's a Christmas Miracle.
Aunt Julie playing with Charlie's new toy.
Evy's first Lego set
The big reveal...could it be a new car?!?!
A pink rocking horse! This was the number one item on Evy's Christmas list.
Thank you Grammy and Papa!
